BiographyMs. Tamosi Bhattacharya is an Environmental Planner from School of Planning and Architecture (2010), working with Intercontinental Consultant and Technocrats Pvt. Ltd. since 2010. As member of IRC G-3 Committee on ‘Reduction of Carbon Footprint in Road Construction and Environment (2015-2021)’, she is exclusively working on preparing guidelines for GHG estimation and Green Rating for Highways.

As member of IRF, she is involved in redevelopment and Indianization of GHG calculator called CHANGER that involved laboratory experiments for estimating direct CO2 emissions from bituminous binders also.

She has contributed substantially towards planning and technological approaches for greener highways, green highway guidelines and green rating system for highways published in International Journal of Environment and Sustainable Development, Inder Science Publisher and IRC Journals. She is also working for the Environment Committee of IRF. Her work is her passion. She has imparted trainings on behalf of CRRI couple of times on various environmental aspects like noise modelling, EIA preparation, assessment of GHG, application and demonstration of CHANGER etc.

As part of her job she has worked on ADB, World Bank and SPUR funded projects and is responsible for preparation of EIA or Environmental study for highways, airports, building construction projects, railway line, railway stations , city development plans etc. She has also imparted training to NRRDA officials as a resource person of ADB.
