BiographyViraj as an entrepreneur and being a graduate from Babson College an institution well-recognized for its entrepreneurship program, is aggressively working towards building a progressive organization in the Renewable Energy Sector.
In 2010, Viraj started his career at VA Solar as a consultant in Solar Project Advisory and Development whilst working for his family business marketing high valued titanium equipment to the Indian Power sector companies and OEMs. Viraj while a Partner at VA Solar worked on Solar Feasibility Studies in relation to Indian Policy Initiatives on Solar Energy and worked as advisor to Indian Infrastructure Conglomerates on solar project development and efficient renewable energy compliances.
He was part of the International Business Development team of Welspun Energy located to Japan to develop a pipeline of 100 MW of Solar Assets. Involved in policy analysis, land identification, project feasibility analysis, project development and planning, Liasoning with Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry and other government of Japan establishments to facilitate project approvals
Viraj while working in Sunbeam Corporation was deeply involved in Sales and Marketing of High Valued Titanium Condenser Tubes for Costal Power Plants being developed by Independent Power Producers in India. The target clients were OEMs such as Alstom, BHEL, Larson and Tubro or directly the IPPs such as Adani Power, JSW Energy, OPG Power. The strategy developed by the Sales and Marketing team was to convince the IPPs to Free Issue these components to the OEMs thereby allowing them to use higher quality American Titanium and reduce overall system costs.
