BiographyAditya Sathe is a civil engineer and has done masters in Geoinformatics for University of Pune. He is an experienced professional in a field of civil engineering and development informatics. He handles overall operations of mapping and GIS analytics at Centre for Development Studies and Activities (CDSA), Pune working on various development planning and decision support projects like Quantified Cities Movement.Abstract Urban brownfield transport planning and Internet of PeopleTraffic and logistics in urban areas are functions of land-use, densities, origin-destination patterns and behavioural habits of urban citizens. All indian cities are facing increasing traffic congestion and road accidents. These situations have an adverse effect on the Quality of Life and living experiences of citizens. Planning and installation of new urban transport infrastructure is a brownfield activity It demands to take cognizance of all the stakeholders of the city as they will be the end users of these facilities. Internet of People network created through a geo-enabled citizen engagement platforms brings in the feedback loop in planning system which can easily integrated with Internet of Things. These feedbacks and reactions on the situations will lead to the safe, easy and comfortable access to city spaces for urban citizens.
