BiographyLt. Col. Ashok Kini H, SM, VSM (Retd.) hails from Kerala, presently residing in Delhi. He has served our 11th President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

Colonel Kini is a highly decorated soldier with Sena Medal and Vishist Seva Medal to his credit. He received the Sena Medal for the service of very high order during the Kargil War. Lt Col. Kini, then a Major under Adjutants Generals Branch, was in-charge of transportation of martyrs’ bodies during the entire operation. He was awarded Chief of Army Staff Commendation for Outstanding Service in United Nation Peace Keeping Mission in Angola, Africa, 1998 and with Vishist Seva Medal for dedication and devotion to duty as comptroller at President’s Household by Dr. Kalam. Earlier he had served in Indian Peace Keeping Force ( IPKF) in Srilanaka too.

He is also a recipient of Social awards Sewa Ratna for Lifetime Achievement for Service to Humanity, 2005, Tyaga Shoora by Divine park, Karnataka for contribution in spiritual field and Dharmopasak by a spiritual NGO in Delhi.

He is also a founder member of an environmental magazine “Green Business” and has a business firm Green Business India where he tried to buying all stake holders of Green Business, NGO’s and policy makers on one platform. He participates in various Green Missions across the nation’s. Latest being planting of 10cr plants across the nation.

His Clariant call on Save Himalaya – Save Earth Mission and Save Ganga mission conveys the need of the hour to save the Himalayas and the Ganges to maintain the ecosystem.
