BiographySonal Navin Shah is a sole proprietor, a multi-sectoral professional with 14+ years’ experience in sustainable and equitable transportation, station accessibility planning, neighbourhood and street design, public spaces and land-use transport integration.

A results-driven individual, Sonal has worked internationally and in India and wears multiple hats as a researcher, practitioner and educator. She is responsible for introducing gender responsive guidelines in India's URDPFI guidelines, and contributing towards Indian Roads Congress guidelines. Sonal has worked with reputable organizations like the World Resources Institute, Indian Institute for Human Settlements and most recently led urban planning and inclusive mobility at the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) India Program. This experience is built on a foundation of an ivy-league education at Columbia University, New York, where is she was featured in the Alumni Spotlight in Fall 2013-14.
