BiographyColonel Vineet Jaiswal is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. The officer was commissioned in the 8th Battalion of the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry in the year 2000. He is a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and holds a Masters Degree in Defence Science and Strategic Studies.

In a distinguished military career spanning more than two decades, he has the distinction of tenating key command and staff appointments in Peace and Field, both in the North Eastern and Northern parts of the country. He brings with him an enormous amount of experience in serving in the most challenging areas, he commanded 15 Assam Rifles in Nagaland and Manipur and his staff assignments include tenures as General Staff Officer Grade I (Operations) of a Mountain Brigade in high altitude area, Instructor Class B, at Infantry School, Mhow, Colonel General Staff at Headquarters Army Training Command and is presently tenating the appointment of Colonel General Staff (Operation & Planning) in Project Mangament Organisation Command Information & Decision Support System under Directorate General Information System, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), New Delhi.
