ISRS I-CON (Innovation Contest)

1. About

ISRS I-CON is an innovation contest for geospatial technology enthusiasts. It is initiated by Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS) to encourage students, research scholars and professionals to promote the development and dissemination of open source- based innovative solutions in the field of remote sensing and spatial information technology.

2. Timeline

Last date of proposal submission: 24 Oct, 2022
Intimation date of the shortlisted proposal: 31 Oct, 2022
Event date: 16 Nov, 2022

3. Participation Criteria

  • Participants may be individuals or a team of a maximum of three members having age up to 35 years.
  • Registration for ISRS National Symposium is compulsory.
  • A Submission of brief proposal containing initial findings.
  • Each individual or a team can submit one proposal only.

4. Details on submission of proposal

The individual or a team shall submit a short proposal in the prescribed format to the ISRS (isrssociety@gmail.com). The late submission will not be considered for the contest. The proposal should include:

5. Evaluation Procedure

There will be a two-stage evaluation.

Stage One: screening and shortlisting of submitted proposals will be done by the Evaluation Committee. Individuals or a team of the shortlisted proposals would be informed and will be intimated for in-person presentation during the National Symposium. There will not be any online presentations.

Stage Two: final evaluation will be done on the basis of overall work demonstration, presentation and interaction of individual or a team by the jury members.

The final result shall be declared during the closing ceremony of the Symposium.

Note: All the individual or a team of the shortlisted proposals must bring a laptop and software for the demonstration of their work.

Criteria for Second Stage Evaluation:

The decision of the evaluation committee is final

7. Awards

There will be three category of awards for the winners:

GOLD Cash Prize Rs. 25,000 & a Certificate
SILVER Cash Prize Rs. 15,000 & a Certificate
BRONZE Cash Prize Rs. 10,000 & a Certificate

A Certificate of Participation will be provided to all the presenters qualified for second stage.
