Theme: Impact of Emerging Technologies on National Security
The last decade has witnessed rapid technological developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain, 5G, Satellites, Robotics and UAVs, which have led to transformation in modern warfare, characterized by exponentially enhanced situational awareness and decision making. Geointelligence is a critical requirement for defence and security operations due to the need of reliable and real time information integrated with spatial data. The efficacy and speed of gathering, analyzing, and disseminating geointelligence has also improved considerably due to these technological developments. The GeoSmart India Digital Series on Defence & Intelligence will examine the disruption due to recent technological developments and discuss the impact on the National Security system.
