GeoSmart Agriculture
Since its independence, India has come a long way in developing food self-sufficiency through effective policies and technology adoption. However, Indian farmers and the agriculture sector today still face some serious challenges such as climate change, cognizant market information, a robust and competitive agri-food market ecosystem and weak supply chains. The market is seeing a rise in innovative start-ups, apps and businesses that will disrupt the traditional models, lead to economic benefits for farmers and bring sustainability to the agriculture sector while driving down its impact on the environment.
This one day program will focus on the emerging and converging technologies that can be used to meet the above mentioned challenges.
